Andreas Witt is working for GKD Attorneys in Freiburg (place of Registration to the German Bar) and Constance, Germany. He advises and represents domestic and foreign companies in all areas of intellectual-property law and the law of information technology. In addition to his particular interest in patent law, he advises his clients in trademark- and competition law. A further focus area of his practice is on the law of data-processing and the internet.
Andreas Witt has been active for more than ten years in the area of intellectual-property law. He studied at the “Center of Advanced Study and Research on Intellectual Property“ at the University of Washington in Seattle und concluded his “International Studies in Intellectual Property Law” for obtaining the Master of Laws (LL.M.). He then worked as a research assistant on a research project on „Third Party Liability in Intellectual Property Law“ for the Swiss National Fund. His Ph.D. work covers comparative-law aspects of a patent law topic. Following work in an internationally-oriented IP boutique, he joined GKD and is responsible for intellectual property law and IT law.
